Russell A. Foxx, age 77, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012.
Born May 24, 1935 in Putnam County, he was the son of Russell F. and Elsie (Berry) Foxx and was a 1954 graduate of Greencastle High School.
Russell had been in the maintenance and plumbing department at DePauw University for 45 years, retiring Dec. 25, 1998.
He was a member of Moose Lodge 1592 and Sons of the American Legion Post 58, all in Greencastle, and attended Big Walnut Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jean; sons Gregory (Becky) Foxx of Indianapolis and Patrick (Pam) Foxx of Greencastle; daughters Sandra (Michael) Rissler of Reelsville and Cynthia Kittle of Edinburgh; brothers Merle (Betty) Foxx of Greencastle and Carl Foxx of Portage; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Deborah Skene; and three brothers, Donald, William and Earl Foxx.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Tim Gillespie officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 at the funeral home.
