Eagles girls' basketball tops West Vigo

The South Putnam girls basketball team rallied from a 15-9 first quarter deficit to top West Vigo on Tuesday.

Senior Leanna Masters led the team with a game-high 14 points on 3-of-13 shooting. She also finished with seven rebounds.

Seniors Mallory Cash and Mattie Varvel each scored 10 points.

The Eagles (3-2) shot only 22 percent for the game, but got to the line 24 times.

The team returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 28 against Danville. Conference play begins Dec. 7.
