Happier Thanksgiving

A collaborative effort between the Putnam County Senior Center and Asbury Towers has meant a happier Thanksgiving for 10 Putnam County families. Volunteers Tuesday loaded baskets with Thanksgiving meal staples to be accompanied by homemade pumpkin pies and ready-to-cook whole turkeys donated by Asbury Towers. Getting ready for deliveries around the county are (from left) Senior Center director Sharon Pitcock, volunteers Rod Kersey, Bill Eggers, Asbury Towers Marketing Director Michelle Collins, Ila Reeves and Betty Bruner. The Senior Center worked with local schools to obtain names of families that could use the donated Thanksgiving meal.
