Gerald Keith 'Jerry' Rumley Sr.

Gerald Keith "Jerry" Rumley Sr., 69, of Putnamville, passed away on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012.

He was born on July 3, 1943 in Putnam County to Roy Rumley and Wilma F. Myers Rumley.

Jerry served in country in the U.S. Army Reserves and was retired from Local 204 after 44 years of service.

Jerry was a member of the Eagles Lodge 4388 and Moose Lodge 1592.

His parents and an infant brother, Timothy Rumley, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Linda M. Rumley; a son, Gerald Keith "J.R." Rumley Jr. and wife Rebecca of Coatesville; daughters Tracy White and husband James "Jamie" of Greencastle, Christy Marbry and husband Raul of California and Tammy Carter and husband Bryan; brothers and sisters Jody Gibson of Greencastle, Robert Rumley and wife Deanie of Reelsville, Phyllis Hodge of Putnamville, David Rumley of Florida, Peggy King and husband Gary of Reelsville, Mike Rumley of Marian, Brenda Blane and husband Bob of Rockville, Bill Rumley and companion Maurica Anderson of Greencastle; grandchildren, Kaylee Hueston and husband Conner, Katie Clark, Kathleen Bunten, Cali Marbry, Laci Marbry, Codi Marie Marbry, Jessica Carter, Joseph Carter, Vieirra Carter, Ashley Carter and Katy Fellom, Ryan Carter and Jacob Carter; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Dr. C. Michael Wren Jr. officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Brick Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan, and especially enjoyed Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon.
