Kevin Alan Pierce

Kevin Alan Pierce, 56, Indianapolis, was born on April 6, 1956 in Greencastle.

He departed this life on Dec. 5, 2012 after a courageous two-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Kevin served with the Indianapolis Public School system as a bus driver and transportation supervisor for 21 years.

He is survived by his wife, Tanya; mother Barbara Pettigrew; sons Derrick Pierce and Jassona Allen; daughters Erica Pierce, Samone Johnson, Ezalea Allen and Bianca Gibson; brothers Darryl (Kathy), Gregory (Carrie) and Richard (Karen) Pierce; sisters, Stephani and Stacia Pierce; and five grandchildren.

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep gratitude, Dr. Chirag Amin, Dr. Jay Gaddy and the entire St. Vincent Medical Network.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at noon Saturday, Dec. 15 in the Crown Hill Remembrance Chapel, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, with visitation there from 10 a.m. until service time.

Entombment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.
