Buzzi employees' kindness even more touching in light of tragedy

To the Editor:

I would like to extend a special thank you to the employees of Buzzi Unicem. Every year ONT receives a call for the names of two Putnam County elementary age special needs students within the Old National Trail Special Services Inter-Local.

This year, the students were from Roachdale and Fillmore elementaries.

Each student and their families receive gifts from the employees of Buzzi Unicem.

This year was even more touching. As I left the Buzzi office and turned on my radio to hear the tragic news of the school shootings in Connecticut, I couldn't help but think of the joyful experience I had just witnessed.

I had to remind myself that there are angels among us. The angels that day were the Buzzi Unicem employees who have touched the lives of many special needs children and their families.

A very special thank you to the employees of Buzzi Unicem!
