Food Drive

Wednesday, December 26, 2012

Tzouanakis Intermediate School has just completed its annual food drive to benefit the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry. The third, fourth and fifth grade students and teachers brought in 2,310 canned food items. This food donation amount surpassed the school's total from last year. The Tzouanakis Student Council counted and boxed items donated by each classroom. "Our Tzouanakis families were very gracious to share and help individuals in our community during this holiday season," student council sponsor Julie Stevens said. Mill Pond Health Campus provided a pizza party to the classroom at each grade level with the most canned food items.
