Thomas Gary Anthony Heron

Thomas Gary Anthony Heron, of Roachdale, passed away at New Castle on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012.

He was born on Dec. 29, 1961 at Indianapolis to the late John and Gloria Gathmann Heron. He was 50.

He was a member of Calvary Chapel in Danville, and attended Rock Point Church at Crawfordsville.

He graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1980 and Ball State University in 1984.

He was an Aflac Insurance agent at Greencastle and a former Farm Bureau Insurance agent for 16 years prior to that.

He was a big sports fan and loved teaching his kids as well as others.

He married Julie Crosby on June 22, 1985 at the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, and she survives.

Other survivors include one son, Reece Heron, Bloomington; one daughter, Jenny Heron, Roachdale; one brother, Robert Heron, New Mexico; and one sister-In-law, Mary Jo Cain, Mentor on the Lake, Ohio; six nephews and one niece.

He was preceded by his parents, brother Jack and two infant siblings.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, Jan. 2 at the Roachdale Presbyterian Church.

Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. to noon. Rev. Roger Stroup will officiate and burial will be at Roachdale Cemetery.
