Patricia Cox passed away and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012.
She was born on March 17, 1933 in Putnam County to Earl and Doris (Cooper) Snodgrass.
She married Robert C. Cox on Aug. 27, 1950. He passed away on Nov. 6, 1993.
On Aug. 14, 2003, she married Darrell King, and he survives.
Patricia was a shining example of a Christian wife, mother, friend and servant.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Coatesville.
She was always ready to listen to the problems of others and help those in need. She put the needs of her family ahead of her own throughout her life. She had a sweet personality, and showed love and compassion to everyone she met.
Patricia's life was centered on her faith in the Lord, and she served willingly when needed. She played the piano, and loved gospel music and hymns. She also enjoyed attending music gatherings in local areas.
She is survived by four children, Cheryl Plessinger (Aaron), Tina Moore (Abe), Robert C. Cox Jr. and Brian D. Cox. Also surviving are six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, sister Myrtle Lemon and her grandparents.
Private graveside services will be held at Boone Hutcheson Cemetery with Aaron Plessinger officiating.
Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, is in charge of arrangements.
