Rev. Dr. Paul Keith Main

Rev. Dr. Paul Keith Main, 81, Greencastle, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Mill Pond Health Campus.

He was born in Greenfield on May 22, 1931, the son of Clarence B. and Ruth Elnora Shields Main.

He was a 1949 graduate of Clayton High School. He later graduated from Hanover College and Louisville Presbyterian Seminary and received his doctorate from Indiana University.

Rev. Main preached at several Presbyterian churches in places such as Cincinnati, Greencastle, Roachdale, Groveland and Jordan Village. He also worked in city planning for the City of Evansville, taught at Indiana University and retired from the Indiana State Board of Health.

Survivors include son Timothy K. Main of Indianapolis, daughter Michal J. Main of Grand Rapids, Mich., brother Lyle B. Main of Portage, Mich., sister-in-law Pat Main of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth P. Main and sisters Juanita R. Stanley and Rosemary Main.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. at the Clayton Presbyterian Church with Rev. David McDonald officiating. Friends may gather from noon until the time of service. Inurnment was at Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.
