Neva Gail Vermillion, 70, of Greencastle passed away on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013.

She was born on Feb. 8, 1942 in Anderson to David Wayne Roach and Lula Sigler Roach.

Neva was a long-time member of the Greencastle Seventh-day Adventist Church, and had been employed at P.R. Mallory and TechnoTrim. She retired from Putnam County Hospital where she had worked as a cook.

Neva enjoyed antiques, yard sales, flea markets and especially cooking for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Florence Morgan.

Surviving are her children, Tammy Plummer and husband John of Greencastle, and Mark Vermillion of Greencastle; a sister, Linda Reeves of Cicero; four grandchildren, Daniel Vermillion of Greensburg, Ky., Tyler Vermillion of Greencastle, Shaun Plummer and fiancée Lyndie Alspaugh and her daughter Hallie Rice of Greencastle, and Brooke Plummer of Greencastle; loving friend Ronald Vermillion of Greencastle; and five nephews, Doyle Morgan, Jeff Morgan, Mike Morgan, Jason Keck and Darrell Keck.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 at the Greencastle Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1010 Zinc Mill Rd., with Pastor Ernest Peckham officiating. Interment will follow at Clinton Falls Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the church.
