The annual meeting of the Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation District is slated for 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30 at the Putnam County 4-H Fairgrounds Community Building.
The event will begin with concurrent workshops beginning at 5:15 p.m.
Harold Thompson, retired Natural Resources Conservation Service leader, will speak about invasive species.
Brenda Huter of the Department of Natural Resources will also be presenting about classified forests.
Dinner will begin at 6 p.m., with the evening's program to follow, including the presentation of the Woodland Conservationist of the Year and Friend of Conservation awards.
