Jack Arthur Hauk

Jack Arthur Hauk, 77, Spencer, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on July 1, 1935 in Indianapolis, and was the son of the late Ralph Edgar and Edith (Thompson) Hauk.

He married Martha Velma (Matthews) Hauk on May 7, 1959, and she survives.

A member of the Praise and Worship Church, he was a retired truck driver for OK Trucking and worked for Hauk Pest Management.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

He is also survived by his children, Yvonne Suzette Dayhuff and husband Mark, Spencer, Jackqueline Edith Schultz and husband George, Brownsburg, Joseph Arthur Hauk, Indianapolis, David Wayne Hauk and wife LaVonne, Cloverdale, Zachary Stephen Hauk and wife Terra, Spencer, and John Paul Hauk and wife Mindy, Spencer; his brothers, George Hauk and wife Joyce, Mike Hauk and wife Jackie and Donnie Hauk and wife Kathy, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Kim Corder; his sisters, Charlene Followell and Barbara Jean Matthews; and his brothers, Ralph Edgar Hauk Jr. and Robert Hauk.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at the Putnamville Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at the Putnamville Baptist Church.
