BAINBRIDGE -- A Bloomington comedian whose credits include being a finalist in the Bob and Tom All-Stars competition, will headline a rare live comedy show Saturday, Feb. 23 in Bainbridge.

The Bainbridge Tap will host "Comedy in Crawfordsville: The Bainbridge Invasion," featuring comic Mat Alano-Martin. The show is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 23.

There is no cover charge for the four-hour show, which will have two breaks and is scheduled to last until 1:30 a.m.

Organizers warn that the show will contain graphic language and adult situations. It is limited to an audience age 21 and up.

The comedy show is being brought to Putnam County by Neil Snyder, whose Comedy in Crawfordsville show is beginning to book venues outside of its original city.

Alano-Martin comes to comedy from the world of rock and roll, where he spent 10 years touring North America as an Americana singer-songwriter, opening for a who's who of indie rockers and occasionally headlining smaller shows.

As a regular touring opener for comedy star Ralphie May, Alano-Martin has emerged as one of the rising stars of the Midwest comedy.

Also featured on the Bainbridge show will be Snyder, whose toe-dip into comedy open mic less than a year ago has turned into a full head-first dive into stand-up.

With seven shows bearing the "Comedy in Crawfordsville" tag under his belt, Snyder also opened The Hip Hop Comedy Spot at Bentley's on Indy's East Side and gave a feature performance at Louie's Comedy Night in Lima, Ohio.

Appearing at dozens of Indianapolis-area venues, Snyder has worked with Dave Landau, DJ Dangler and Dave Dugan, and has aggressively booked a number of shows in west-central Indiana the first half of 2013.

Also appearing on the Feb. 23 Bainbridge Tap show will be Chris Siemer of Cincinnati, Troy Pochop of Monrovia and Sarah Tiernan of Plainfield.

Siemer is a newcomer to stand-up comedy but has already been making a ruckus in the Cincinnati scene. With appearances at multiple bars, Go Bananas, Wiley's and the Funny Bone, Siemer has been leaving audiences in stitches with a bold, brash style.

Pochop's last name is distinctive and provides a great intro to his stand-up act. Troy takes his narrative performance from places in his youth to everyday silliness without delving too far into blue material.

Pochop has appeared at The Rock House, Daddy Real's and Underground 9 in Indianapolis and also performed in Metamora, among other places.

Tiernan doesn't mince words and won't be out of place on the otherwise all-men show. She's proven her stand-up chops as the 2011 AMPS Television Comedy Competition champion.

The Plainfield product has also done some sketch comedy that can be seen on funnyordie.com and has appeared onstage at the Indianapolis Art Center as part of the Dreadmelons Production "Not My Baby."

Show opener Rob Wilfong is a comedy veteran from Independence, Ky., known in the Cincinnati area for his Live Bait Comedy shows.

Often seen at the Newport Levee Funny Bone, he was a finalist in the Stars on Stage competition at the Gaslight Inn in Indianapolis. Wilfong also has been a part of Larry Love's Dysfunctional Comedy tour.

The remainder of the Bainbridge show's time will feature guest comedians from Lafayette and Bloomington who have either already appeared or are booked to appear on past or future "Comedy in Crawfordsville" openings.
