The Greencastle girls' junior varsity basketball team moved to 17-2 this season with a win over Owen Valley on Tuesday 21-19.
The Tiger Cubs overcame a 16-8 halftime deficit to eek out the win.
"We were very disappointed with our first-half performance," GHS coach Matthew Welker said. "Very poor defense and slppy basketball on offense. But we were very pleased with the effort and intensity that our team displayed in the second half to outscore them 13-3."
Welker said a couple players stepped up to key the victory.
"Delanie Stoltey led our team in points, scoring eight in the game," he said, "and Tera Amis had four points, including a huge game-winning shot."
GHS will have another chance to get one in the win column. It plays tonight against Monrovia at 6 p.m.
