Chili Supper

The American Red Cross recently announced its annual chili supper and auction on Friday, Feb. 22 at the National Guard Armory. The event will go from 6-8 p.m. with a free will offering at the door. Chili, cornbread, dessert and drinks will be served. There will also be special performances by War Radio, emcee and DJ Mike Welsh of Sounds Unlimited. Agencies involved with the chili supper are the Greencastle Fire Department, Putnam County Operation Life, Greencastle Police Department, Putnam County Emergency Management, United Way and the Putnam County Community Foundation. Chili and cornbread is sponsoored by The Waters of Greencastle, drinks sponosred by Putnam Inn and desserts are sponosred by Delta Theta Tau sorority. Among the silent items available in the silent auction include Holiday World passes, tickets to the Indianapolis Children's Museum, box seats to the Indianapolis Indians, autographed sports items and much more. Present for the kick-off was Greencastle Fire Department Chief Bill Newgent, Rita Ferguson, Ella-Marie Torr, Robin Hazelbaker, Chasity Wood and Ginger Scott.
