Seventh-grade Eagles notch key win over Clovers

The South Putnam girls' seventh grade basketball team got a big win recently, knocking off Cloverdale 30-21.

The Eagles had several tough games, against Clay City, North Clay, Rockville and Tri-West, before pulling out the county victory.

SPMS scorers included Ally Nichols, who led the team with 12 points, Alex Fanning and Maddie McHugh (6 each), Savannah McIntosh (2) and Jessi Halcomb, who finished a perfect 4-for-4 from the foul line.
