County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Karen Sue Cutter, 61, Trail Creek, Ind., was arrested for probation violation.

At 5:30 p.m. Jose Arriaga-Valdes, 41, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for nonsupport of a dependent.

* At 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Daniel Scott Hayes, 55, Greencastle, was charged with battery with bodily injury, strangulation and disorderly conduct disturbing the peace.

At 4:21 a.m. Daniel Kader, 25, Cloverdale, was booked in for theft.

City Fire

* At 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, Greencastle firefighters performed a medical assist at 111 Longcastle Dr. They cleared the scene at 3:16 p.m.

At 4:24 p.m. GFD was dispatched to an alarm at 412 S. Jackson St. Crews returned to station at 4:31 p.m.

* At 5:33 a.m. responders investigated an alarm at 110 E. Larabee St., returning to station at 5:47 a.m.
