PCH now offering 'Weekend Warrior Clinic' on Mondays

Friday, February 22, 2013

Putnam Surgical Specialties, located inside of Putnam County Hospital, has announced the opening of the Weekend Warrior Walk-In Clinic.

The clinic will begin seeing patients, with no appointments necessary, on Mondays from 8-11 a.m.

The walk-in clinic specializes in diagnosing and treating those with recreational or sports-related acute orthopaedic injuries that do not need immediate attention from the emergency room.

Patients will be diagnosed and treated by board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Robin Mendelsohn.

Dr. Mendelsohn has been providing the community with medical care for more than 13 years. Her areas of focus include sports injuries, fracture care, joint replacement and arthritis care.

"Our community has a great need for a walk-in clinic that can specialize in acute orthopaedic injuries," Dennis Weatherford, Putnam County Hospital CEO, said.

"With the clinic being located inside Putnam County Hospital, we have access to in-house X-rays and other top-of-the line services available at our fingertips," Weatherford added. "This is a great alternative to making an unnecessary trip to the ER, or waiting to get in to see your family physician."
