GHS drops finale to Chargers

Greencastle's boys' basketball squad fell to North Montgomery in the season finale 62-56 Friday night.

After a slow start, Greencastle led after the first period of play and trailed by two heading into the fourth quarter, but could not find a way to take the lead in the final quarter of play.

Charger duo Nathan Rogers and Grant Gaylor combined for 57 point for the visitors, while Tiger Cub seniors Nick Gilliam and Nate Christy scored 26 and 15 respectively.

The Tigers Cubs enter the postseason with 3-17 record.

Greencastle will open sectional play on Tuesday when it hosts Edgewood at 7:30 p.m.
