Cougar MS wrestlers perform well at Super 16

The North Putnam Middle School wrestling team had a strong performance at the Southmont Middle School Super 16 tournament on Saturday.

Seventy-five pounder Jarrek Montgomery captured the championship in his weight class, and four others placed at the event.

Jacob Plessinger finished second, Alan Aynes third and Jacob Sexton and Zach Culberson each finished fourth.

Several others also finished in the top-eight of the 32-man class bracket.
