Charlie's Chill and Grill to open March 1

Thursday, February 28, 2013

Charlie's Chill and Grill will open its doors on Friday, March 1. This fast food restaurant is part of a long-term plan started three years ago by the Putnam County Comprehensive Services, which helps individuals with disabilities. Charlie's primary intent is to provide a integrated training opportunity and possible job placement for individuals with disabilities.

Charlie's is also the first operation outside of PCCS non-for-profit status. The goal is to have this endeavor help pay for some of PCCS not-for-profit programs and make PCCS less reliant on state and federal dollars.

Charlie's Chill and Grill is located on Bloomington Street across from Robe-Ann Park. The hours of operation will be Sunday -- Thursday from 11 a.m. -- 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
