Now Open

Friday, March 1, 2013

Charlie's Chill and Grill is now open. The new restaurant is part of a long-term plan, which was started three years ago by Putnam County Comprehensive Services. The restaurant's primary intent is to provide integrated training opportunties and possible job placement for individuals with disablities. Charlie's held a soft opening for Greencastle Chamber of Commerce members on Thursday in preparation for the grand opening today. Charlie's staff Sharon Dean, Britney Steel and Steven Turner spent their afternoon putting together orders during the lunch hour. Charlie's Chill and Grill is located on Bloomington Street across from Robe-Ann Park. The hours of operation will be Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

  • Reading the Banner Graphic daily is one of the highlights of my day. I'm VERY PROUD off P.C.C.S. for their efforts towards helping & caring for the handicapped, disabled, & mentally disabled. In this crazy world that we live in today, these feel good stories are few & far between. I can honestly say that Chuck Schroeder & Sue Ann Frazier have whole heartedly given their time, efforts, & patience to ensure the well being of so many people. Keep up the great work!

  • I ate lunch there today and it was great. It is a really nice place, plenty of parking, plenty of seating and a great dining experience! I see they will have drive up service someday and that will be great also. Good luck to all and may Charlie's Chil and Grill be here for years to come.
