SAWs looking for work in 2013

Monday, March 4, 2013

Servants at Works (SAWs), a mission of the Greencastle Presbyterian Church, is planning its fifth year of ministry and is again looking for work.

SAWs volunteers work to provide handicap ramps, low-rise steps and safety rails at no cost to qualified disabled residents of Putnam County.

Since the beginning of SAWs in 2009, the mission has helped 47 residents of Putnam County access their homes.

The program currently has six projects identified for the 2013 build season, but the goal for the year is to build at least 25.

For this reason, SAWs needs county residents who need help accessing their homes or those who know them to let the SAWs team know.

Interested residents may contact the Greencastle Presbyterian Church Office at 653-5713 or e-mail churchoffice@cinergymetro.net. A representative of SAWs will answer the request as soon as possible.

SAWs also asks that everyone spread the word by telling their friends and neighbors about the mission.

If SAWs doesn't help these people, who will?
