Farmers' market vendor meeting Wednesday at PCPL

Returning and new vendors are invited to attend a Greencastle Farmers' Market vendor organizational meeting hosted by the Friends of the Farmers Market on Wednesday, March 6.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Kiwanis Room at the Putnam County Library, 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle.

The 2013 Greencastle Farmers' Market will open May 4 and operate on the north and east sides of the courthouse square each Saturday until Oct. 26.

Vendor applications and market guidelines will be available at the meeting and Market Manager Kaleigh Solley will be on hand to describe some changes to market operation and outline some new marketing ideas.

Information and applications for participating in the Women's, Infants and Children's (WIC) and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) will also be available for fresh fruit and vegetable vendors.
