Delila M. Saylor Cornett

Delila M. Saylor Cornett, 92, formerly of Greencastle and Roachdale, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013.

She was born June 8, 1920 in Eubanks, Ky.

Delila was secretary and treasurer for several years and junior regent chaplain along with many other duties being associated with The Ladies Auxiliary Chapter 138 affiliated with Moose Lodge 1592 of Greencastle.

She was also a member of The Academy of Friendship at the lodge and after 50 years was made a lifetime member.

She is survived by daughter, Vivian (Robert) Adams, Cincinnati; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband Bradley Cornett, sons Lawrence and Raymond Cornett, daughters Jean Cornett Beamon and Dianne Cornett Brewster and two grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 4 at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale. Visitation is set for noon to 2 p.m. Monday.

Minister Mike Buchanan will officiate. Burial will be at Roachdale Cemetery.
