County Jail

One recent arrest was reported at the Putnam County Jail.

At 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Joshua Scott Spencer, 30, Indianapolis, was arrested for probation violation.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to a pair of dispatches on Tuesday night.

* At 9:41 p.m. crews were called to 234 Hillsdale Drive for arcing power lines. A tree limb had fallen onto the line, causing the problem.

Duke was contacted and GFD waited until linemen had arrived. They cleared the scene at 1:12 a.m.

* At 11:39 p.m. firefighters performed a lift assist at 1049 Canterbury Drive, returning to station at 11:54 p.m.

City Police

Three recent traffic citations were issued by Greencastle City Police officers.

* At 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Michael J. Smith, 39, Brazil, was cited on State Road 240 by Capt. Chris Jones for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

* At 1:19 a.m. Saturday, Gabrielle McCammack, 22, Coatesville, was ticketed on Bloomington Street by Officer Nick Eastham for having a false or fictitious registration.

* At 12:05 a.m. Saturday, Brittney Way, 26, Coatesville, was cited on South Jackson Street by Sgt. Charles Inman for having an expired license plate (December).
