Linda L. Hilburn Patterson

Linda L. Hilburn Patterson, 64, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013.

She was born on Sept. 25, 1948 in Putnam County to Lewis and Olus Wells Hutcheson.

Linda was a 1966 graduate of Bainbridge High School, an active member and supporter of the 4-H Swine program, participated in several bowling Leagues, and was an active member of both the Greencastle and Spencer Women of the Moose.

Linda's Moose membership included the Senior Regent and Star Recorder in the Spencer Moose Lodge; in the Greencastle Lodge, she served as secretary/treasurer. Linda earned the College of Regent's Degree, Star Recorder Degree and the Academy of Friendship Degree.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, James D. Hilburn Sr. and Pete Patterson; and two grandchildren, J.D. Hilburn and Chandler Hilburn.

Surviving are her children, Jim Hilburn Jr., Teresa Judy and husband Rick, Kyle Hilburn and wife Tonia, Lewis Hilburn and Adam Hilburn and wife Nacole; stepchildren, Dean Patterson, Tony Patterson and wife Lori, and Annette Randol and husband Dave; and was a proud and loving granny to Nicole Judy, Colby Judy, Chelsea Hilburn, Isaac Hilburn, Simon Hilburn and stepgrandchildren, Rachel, Damien, Victoria, Elijah, Benjamin, Angel, Darcie and Zeek.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 29 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Jason Allmon officiating. Interment will follow at Boone Hutcheson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28 from 4-8 p.m. with a Women of The Moose walkthrough at 7 p.m.

Linda enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cross stitching, cooking, canning and mostly making noodles for her grandchildren.
