Auditions for 'Charlie Brown' musical at Playhouse April 7-8

Monday, April 1, 2013

Director Brad Sandy will stage two sessions of auditions for the Putnam County Playhouse production of the musical "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown."

The first session is set for 3 p.m. Sunday, April 7. The second session will be at 7 p.m. Monday, April 8. Both sessions will be at the Hazel Day Longden Theatre on Round Barn Road in Greencastle.

The musical will be produced June 6-8 and June 12-15.

All roles are open. Leading roles include Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, Sally and Snoopy.

All leading roles include solo and group singing. There will also be an ensemble in several numbers.

Sandy says the age range for the production includes those age six to young adult.

All those auditioning, whether for a leading role or ensemble, should have a song prepared. An accompanist will be provided, and the song doesn't have to be longer than 16 bars. The audition will also include dance and movement, so please dress accordingly.

Sandy is also looking to fill some backstage and technical positions. Those wishing to help in those areas should also come to the auditions.
