Mannan homers to move Clovers to 4-0 with win over South Putnam

Cloverdale senior Austin Mannan hit a three-run home run to help lift the Clovers to a win at South Putnam on Tuesday, 7-4.

The Clovers (4-0) were held scoreless for the game's first four innings and trailed 2-0 entering the fifth before the offense got going.

Tyler Scott got the start for South Putnam, going five innings and allowing three runs (one earned).

SPHS senior Aaron Parker went 1-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs.

South Putnam (0-2) returns to action Friday when it hosts South Vermillion at 5:30 p.m.

Cloverdale hosts Shakamak Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
