Ready to Rollerskate

Monday, April 8, 2013
Members of the Crafty Cougars 4-H club tackled a large community service project for the Russellville Community Center recently. Youngsters in the club and several parents spent countless hours building from scratch three eight-foot sections of shelving to hold all the roller skates at the Community Center. The kids built the 24 feet of shelving, painted and then organized the skates and relocated them to the new shelves. Crafty Cougar Club members involved include Olivia Bottorff, Morgan Burris, Maddie Lawler, Brett Asher, Micayla Jones, Kristina Taylor, Andrew Pickel, Adam Bonebrake, Aaron Pickel, Madelynn Burgess, Evan Baker, Katie Watt, LexAnne Fuchs and Jasmine Weddle (several more helped but were unavailable for the photo). Also shown, Darrell Wiatt, representing the Russellville Community Center, and Katrina Asher and Patricia Jones, Crafty Cougars 4H Club leaders. (Courtesy photo)

  • Great job 4H kids---now if the Center would have roller skating again, been a long time and it was a popular event.
