John R. Rossok

John R. Rossok, age 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013.

Born May 12, 1937 in Greencastle, he was the son of Joseph and Frances (Robertson) Rossok and was a 1955 graduate of Greencastle High School.

He married Jean (Butts) Rossok on Jan. 9, 1960, and she survives.

He was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps.

John had retired from IBM Corp. in 1992.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 500, VFW Post 98, AmVets Post 99, and a former member of the Greencastle Police Auxiliary, Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department, Cumberland County, PA Burial Honor Guard and the Marion County Burial Assn.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; son Eric (Kay) Rossok of Indianapolis; daughter Susan (Michael) Baldwin of Carlisle, Pa.; brother Dan Rossok of Florida; sister Helen Sue (Joe) Zeiner of Greencastle; two grandsons, Nathan and Ben Rossok, both of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews and special friend Mallory Rhodes.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 12 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Dave Clayton officiating.

Interment with military honors will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at the funeral home.
