Girl scouts to host Dark in the Park 5K

The Girl Scouts South Putnam Service Unit 184 will be hosting a Dark in the Park Glow 5K Walk/Run on Friday, April 26 at 9:30 p.m. at Greencastle Sports Park.

All proceeds from the glow run will help pay for the girls to be able to attend summer camp. The fee for an adult runner or walker will be $20 during pre-registration and $25 during the day of the race. Children ages 1-15 will be $12 per runner or walker and $14 the day of the race.

Registration includes a T-shirt, one glow stick and one glow necklace. Additional glow sticks and necklaces can be purchased for $1 each and extra T-shirts can be purchased for $15 for adults and $12 for children.

Awards will also be given for the first, second and third place in each age and gender category.

There will be open registration on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Greencastle McDonald's.

Interested participants can also mail registration with check or cash to Service Unit 184, 2697 W. C.R. 400 South Greencastle, IN, 46135.

Registration should include the name of the participant, age, gender, email address, phone number, emergency contact and phone number as well as T-shirt size.

Once your registration is received a conformation email will be sent out. For multiple runners, list each runner individually on a separate sheet.
