Dr. Belarmino Frogozo to speak at April 22 Dine with a Doc

Senior Education Ministries Inc. has scheduled Dine with a Doc on the fourth Monday of every month from 10 a.m.-noon at Ivy Tech Community College.

Dine with a Doc is a free program that welcomes the local senior public to hear the doctor of the month presents an educational topic with lunch.

This month Dr. Belarmino Frogozo, M.D. will address the topic of skin cancer. He will cover types of skin cancers, signs and symptoms, risk factors, treatment and prevention. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. More than 3.5 million skin cancers in over two million people are diagnosed annually. One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in the course of a lifetime.

Frogozo, is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and by the American Board of Surgery with certificates of added qualifications in hand surgery. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Frogozo graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, College of Medicine, Manila, The Philippines, in 1973. He then completed all his eight years of surgical education in the Detroit Medical Center. He completed his general surgery residency in Harper Grace Hospital.

He has been in active practice in Terre Haute for more than 20 years and is the only full-time plastic surgeon in the Wabash Valley.
