Ruth H. Crosby

Ruth H. Crosby, 89, of Roachdale, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Putnam County Hospital.

She was born on Jan. 4, 1924 at Roachdale to Glenn and Bessie Crosby Hooser.

She graduated from Roachdale High School.

She was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, Town & Country Homemakers for 50 years and Delta Theta Tau of Roachdale.

She married Clifford Crosby on Aug. 8, 1946 at Knox, Ind., and he preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1997.

Survivors include a son, Steve (Rachel) Crosby; a daughter, Janet (Jon) Stafford; four grandchildren, Jennifer Stafford, Renee (Sam) Fry, Raymond (Cheryl) Crosby and Kyle Crosby; and one great-grandson, Jackson Fry.

Graveside services are planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Roachdale Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale. Rev. Alan Small will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
