BRAZIL -- The Cloverdale boys' golf team lost to Northview in a dual meet on Monday, 153-183.

Chase Snyder and Rylan Mattocks led the Clovers, each shooting a 45.

"Northview played well, and they're a pretty decent team," Cloverdale coach Doug Wokoun said. "Our group continues to struggle with inconsistency. We have stretches of good play, but then we take a double bogey, or worse."

Freddie Fislar shot a 46, Klyar Galloway a 47 and Devin Bassett a 49. Dustin Cummings withdrew.

"Chase and Rylan did some things pretty well, but are giving away strokes that they shouldn't" Wokoun said. "Freddie has struggled with chipping and putting. We missed Aaron Whitlock, who was ill."

Northview's Dylan Nesty shot a 36, followed by Sam Grimes (38), Keegan Roembke (39), Blake Bennett (40), Seth Peyton (41) and Mick McCollum (42).

The Clovers (2-1) are back in action on Thursday when they host Monrovia at Clover Meadows.

Wokoun said believes the team can bounce back strong for the West Central Conference opponent.

"We have a group that is working hard," he said, "but must make some improvements quickly."
