Tiger Cubs lose to WCC's Cadets

The Greencastle baseball team lost to West Central Conference opponent Cascade on Monday, 6-4.

The Tiger Cubs (1-4, 0-3) battled back from a 5-0 deficit but the rally came up just short.

Tanner Nicholson started for Greencastle and pitched three scoreless innings before finding trouble in the fourth.

Seth Brown came on in relief and allowed one unearned run in three innings.

Brett Gierke pitched a scoreless seventh inning.

At the plate, Brown led the Tiger Cubs by hitting a double. Gierke, Nick Gilliam, Alec Pettit, Cole Pohler and Landon Miller each had hits.

Cascade's Bailey Blackburn pitched a complete game to earn the win.

Greencastle hosts Tri-West on Friday at 5 p.m.
