DePauw, Start Your Peddling ... for the Little 5

Monday, April 22, 2013
The annual Little 5 cycling race was held at DePauw on Saturday. The first Little 5 took place in 1956 and was organized as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Fund. Teams from different Greek houses compete in men's, women's and alumni competitions. (For the Banner Graphic/ALEXANDRIA GASAWAY)

The crowd of students at this years race munched on free GCBs, compliments of the DPU Union Board, and cheered on as men's criterium champion Forrest Kunkel (above) of the Delta Tau Delta house. (For the Banner Graphic/ALEXANDRIA GASAWAY)
Women's champion Nicole Rossillo of the Alpha Chi Omega house won her heat on Saturday after finishing second last year. In 2012 she was passed late ("Rather dirtily," she added), but she left no doubt this year winning by a significant margin. Rossillo recently finished her senior season on the DPU swim team and won the race on a last-second replacement bike. (For the Banner Graphic/ALEXANDRIA GASAWAY)
