Friday, April 26, 2013

A running race scheduled for Saturday, April 27, has been relocated from Indianapolis to Greencastle.

The Qdoba DINO Trail Run was scheduled for Town Run Trail Park on the north side of Indianapolis. The White River has flooded as a result of recent rains, covering portions of the trail. DePauw University has agreed to serve as a back-up location and will host the event at the DePauw Nature Park.

The event is a footrace held on unpaved trails. Runners and walkers of all ages may participate (registration fees charged). A 5k (3.1 miles) and 15K (9.3 mile) distance option is available. Race-day entries are welcome, with check-in taking place at the Nature Park Welcome & Activities Center.

Parking will be available at the Welcome Center and at the Prindle Institute for Ethics.

The race begins at 9 a.m. Registration is open from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Day-of race fees are $20 for the 5K and $25 for the 15K.

Saturday's event is expected to bring 200-300 runners and walkers into the Greencastle area.
