Jonathan M. Harrison

Jonathan M. Harrison, 42, of Greencastle, passed away, April 25, 2013.

He was born in Indianapolis on Feb. 25, 1971 to Bill Harrison and Thelma Joyce (Dodson) Skirvin.

He was a 1990 graduate of Owen Valley High School before serving in the U.S. Marines.

Jon worked as a correction officer in Plainfield.

He was an avid high school wrestler and made the state finals. He also participated with the Indiana Bulldog Rescue and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Jonathan is survived by his wife, Carri Carpenter; his parents, Bill and Sarah Harrison of Greene County; six children, Dustin Tubbs of Terre Haute, Zachary Harrison of Paragon, Joshua Tubbs of Greencastle, Destinee Harrison of Paragon, Keaton Tubbs of Greencastle, and David Harrison of Greencastle; two brothers, Bill White and Tom Corns; three sisters, Gina Reynolds, Rita Boyles and Shelly Chancy; his biological mother, of Indianapolis; his mother and father-in-law, Charles and Judy Carpenter of Greencastle; and two grandchildren, Jayden Tubbs and Darcye Montgomery-Tubbs.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christin Tubbs.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, Spencer. Military rites will be performed by Spencer American Legion and VFW.

Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral Home.
