Greencastle Farmers' Market opening day set for Saturday

Monday, April 29, 2013

The Greencastle Farmers' Market will spring to life Saturday, May 4 on the east side of the courthouse square.

Activity will begin at 8 a.m.

Opening-day musical entertainment will be provided by John Bean, who will be singing as he alternates on the banjo, guitar and fiddle.

The Friends of the Farmers' Market are hoping everyone will come down to the square and help them celebrate the end of a long winter and the beginning "of a lively season of locally grown, sewn and made items."

Vendors are still being accepted for the season. Anyone who would like to vend at the weekly market is asked to contact meetatthemarket@gmail.com or call Paula Evans at 653-1255.
