PCPL to host poetry reading Thursday

Monday, April 29, 2013

The Putnam County Public Library will be hosting a poetry reading with David Cho on Thursday, May 2 at 7 p.m. as part of the Putnam County Public Library Author Series.

Cho attended the University of Illinois, Purdue University and the University of Washington. His first book of poetry, Night Sessions, "presents snapshots of the Korean American experience through poems ranging from the hardships of first generation Korean immigrants, their blue-collar work (though many had professional degrees) and arduous immigration to the United States to the rise of the second and even third generation, of culturally Americanized youth attempting to reconcile their bi-cultural heritage."
