Danny P. Byrd

Danny P. Byrd, 67, Indianapolis, entered into eternal rest on April 22, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.

He fought the good fight against cancer for nearly a year. His reassuring words were "I'm not afraid of death, it is a part of life. I'm not sure what comes next, but I know it's spiritual."

His life was full and always interesting. He enjoyed the Old West and spent many years traveling and living in Arizona. He had a wicked sense of humor, and found the best in any situation.

He loved his family above all else, and is survived by Gaye, his wife of 48 years; sons Adam (Donna), Scott (Jayne) and Tim (Tina); and four grandchildren, Sierra, Nicole, Kennedy, and Jordan.

A memorial contribution may be made to Danny Byrd Camp Fund, B.S.A. Pack 99, 38 N. CR 175 West, Greencastle, IN 46135.

This fund is established to assist scouts with uniforms, equipment, and outings.
