GHS intern Wood impresses PCH staff

Friday, May 10, 2013

To the Editor:

Many young people spend weekends with friends, catching up on homework, doing family chores and sleeping in. Greencastle High School student Tanner Wood is the exception.

In addition to playing football, track and being active in the arts department, this student has volunteered countless hours in the Emergency Department of Putnam County Hospital.

As part of his Area 30 Career Center education, Tanner has had the opportunity to rotate clinical hours in several departments of the hospital.

After completion of his Emergency Department rotation, he has continued to volunteer in this department almost every Saturday. He spends his day working hard and understanding that patients come first.

His politeness and willingness to help in any way possible is appreciated by all. Tanner plans to continue his education in the medical field.

We wish him the very best in his pursuits and extend a heartfelt thanks for all his had done.
