ALICE MOORE of Greencastle, a member of the class of 2016 at Washington and Lee University, has earned dean's list status for the recently ended winter term 2013.

Dean's list status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

University of Evansville student MELISSA BALL, a resident of Greencastle, will study abroad this summer at Harlaxton College, Evansville's British campus near Grantham, England.

Ball, who is majoring in athletic training, is among 43 UE students who will begin classes Monday, May 13 at Harlaxton, housed in a 100-room Victorian manor in the English countryside.

The five-week summer session at Harlaxton includes a range of classes in the liberal arts and pre-professional studies.

Optional weekend trips to destinations such as London, Paris, York, Cambridge, and Edinburgh provide students with opportunities to engage the culture in Britain and beyond.

BENJAMIN WILSON, son of Wesley and Elena Wilson of Greencastle, recently earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and international studies at Hope College.

Commencement exercises took place on Sunday, May 5.

Hope College, located in Holland, Mich., is a four-year, co-educational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of 3,343 men and women and is affiliated with the Reformed Church of America.

LAURA ENGLISH, a Hope College junior from Coatesville, received the award for Outstanding Junior Economices Student during the college's annual honors convocation on Thursday, April 25.

This award is presented to an outstanding junior economics student, as selected by the faculty in the department of economics, management and accounting.
