Wilma Martin Cruse

Wilma Martin Cruse, 89, of Rockville, died at 11:12 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Clinton Gardens.

She was born Dec. 21, 1923 in Putnam County to the late Oscar Martin and Helen Gosnell Martin.

Her husband of 52 years, Marion P. Cruse, whom she married May 31, 1941 in Indianapolis, died Dec. 11, 1993

She was a homemaker.

She attended Union Township School and Clinton Center High School.

She was a member of the Rockville Christian Church, Friendship Sunday school class and the Day group, both of Rockville Christian Church, and the Quilt Club of Rockville.

Survivors include a son, Doyne Cruse of Rockville; two daughters, Kay (Jim) Abbott of Terre Haute, and Karen (Ernie) Boswell of Terre Haute; five grandchildren, Phil, Brian, Matt and Paul Mangus and Theresa Sandberg; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy McCullough and Imogene Crawley, and five brothers, John, Donald, Kenneth (who was killed during World War II), James and Oscar Martin Jr.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15 in Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard St., Rockville, with Rev. Don Hatfield officiating.

Burial will follow in Clinton Falls Cemetery, Putnam County.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday in Gooch Funeral Home.
