33rd United Way Golf Scramble slated for June 14 at Windy Hill

United Way of Putnam County will stage its 33rd annual United Way Golf Scramble on Friday, June 14 at Windy Hill Country Club in Greencastle.

Registration for four-person scramble teams is under way at unitedwayofputnamcounty.org or by calling 653-5638.

Cost of the event is $45 per person ($180 per team), which includes golf, cart, lunch and awards. Lunch only will be available for $5.

Mulligans or pick-a-putts are available for golfers at three for $10.

A golf ball drop fundraiser is also scheduled with a cost of two balls for $5 or five balls for $10.

Lunch is scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon with golfers to tee off at noon. Registration at the course begins at 10:30 a.m.

The golf scramble is being sponsored by Cloverdale Rockwell Corp. with the beverage cart sponsored by Duke Energy.

North Salem State Bank and Hayes, Murphy, Sharp and Brackney Insurance are sponsoring hole-in-one prizes.

In addition to registering for golf or lunch, persons may contact United Way Executive Director Jennifer Edwards for volunteer to work at the event or for hole or event sponsorships.
