Care Net established in new Greencastle location

Care Net Pregnancy Center of Putnam County has moved into its new location at 1224 Bloomington St. in Greencastle. Its facilities had previously been in the old Opera House on the west side of the courthouse square

Care Net Pregnancy Center of Putnam County is now established in its new location at 1224 Bloomington St. in Greencastle.

Offering confidential services, free-of-charge, Care Net works with women and families facing crisis pregnancies or families needing parenting assistance.

Care Net Pregnancy Center offers pregnancy tests and compassionate care from supportive client advocates. Care Net also offers material support for families in need, including maternity/baby clothing, diapers, baby food, formula and other needed items as available.

Care Net also provides parenting classes through the Earn While You Learn program. Earn While You Learn is available to individuals as well as couples and now also offers fatherhood/mentoring classes to young fathers.

The program is staffed by volunteers from area Putnam County churches who have received training as Crisis Pregnancy Coaches through Light University in association with the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Office hours are Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
