Reelsville fire department to hold community lunch and concert

The Reelsville Fire Department along with area churches will be hosting a community wide event on Sunday, June 2 from noon- 5 p.m.

The event will feature a free chicken noodle dinner from noon -- 2 p.m. The dinner will be held at the Reelsville Fire Station, just south of U.S. 40 in Reelsville. Everyone is invited to attend.

From 2--3:30 p.m. Luke and Tim Gillespie will stage a table tennis demonstration.

Luke will also be demonstrating his skills as a concert pianist. The concert will take place from 4-5 p.m. at the Big Walnut Baptist Church. The concert will also feature vocalist Elizabeth Maurey, from the University of Kentucky's School of Music.

The entire event is free to the public. Donations will be accepted throughout the event. All donations will go to help Maurey with her studies in Italy this summer, were she will be performing opera with professionals.
