KAYLA DOWNING of Greencastle was recently honored with the Kathryn A. Duncan Sports Scholarship at Lincoln Trail College.

The Lincoln Trail College Foundation honored its 2012-2013 scholarship recipients during the recent Student Recognition Night at the college. Last year, the foundation distributed more than $63,800 in scholarships.

The Home Economists' Guild of Indianapolis recently announced the granting of a scholarship to HANNAH RAE CLINE of Cloverdale, who will be a senior at Indiana State University in the fall of 2013.

Hannah is majoring in dietetics and looks forward to becoming employed in a health company. She has been on the dean's list in the fall of 2010, 2011 and 2012. She is a member of the Golden Key Honor Society, National Collegiate Honor Society and is an officer in the Indiana State University Food and Nutrition Club.

Hannah volunteers with the Light House Mission homeless shelter and the Boys and Girls Club, where she is the head basketball coach for kindergarten girls.

She has worked in the Putnam County Hospital dietary department and Camp Jumpstrat in Missouri, a camp for diabetic children.

She is the daughter of Rodney and Mindy Cline of Cloverdale.

Since 1966, the Home Economists' Guild of Indianapolis has presented 101 scholarships to students at Ball State, Butler, Marion, Indiana State, Valparaiso, Indiana and Purdue.

Hannah was presented her scholarship at the May meeting of the guild.
